Our Story

An Italian approach
to exceptional tea

Decadent Teas was born in Italy from a love of beautiful things, beautifully made. We believe tea deserves the same devotion Italy has always given to cloth, leather and the table: exceptional ingredients, skilled hands, time and an instinct for pleasure.

We seek out remarkable teas from gardens around the world and bring them to Milano, where they are blended with patience and a distinctly Italian sense of elegance. Nothing is hurried. Every blend must earn its place, every detail must feel considered, and every cup should offer a small moment of decadence.

For more than sixty years Maria has lived in the world of fashion, surrounded by beautiful fabrics, exquisite detail and the enduring belief that true elegance never ages.

Alongside it, tea has been her daily ritual, a source of balance and wellbeing that she believes has played its own part in her longevity and her youthful spirit.

Decadent Teas brings the two worlds together: the precision and artistry of Italian tailoring, and the timeless ritual of exceptional tea.

    We buy from gardens we have walked, from growers we can name, in quantities small enough to stay honest.

We work closely with each property to create a tea experience that belongs to its setting, from distinctive collections and bespoke blends to private label, beautiful presentation and the rituals of service.
